Collection: Catherine's Crochet
Mrs Catherine Ang's crochet craft first caught the attention of many when someone posted about her work on social media. She makes small items such as coasters, bottle holders and bags at home, and sells them at Toa Payoh MRT station in the mornings.
We understand from Catherine that she and her twin sister became orphans when their parents died in a car crash, and they grew up in a foster family, and then a children's home where she developed her passion and skill in crochet work. She is married without kids, and receives financial support from the government while her husband works as a cleaner. Her little crochet business helps her pass time, and provides for some additional pocket money.
Our collaboration with Catherine aims to provide some certainty in revenue as we understand that she can go for days without a single sale. The materials used in the products listed on our website are also purchased by Epricus to relieve her of production cost and travel hassle.
Please drop by at Exit D to support her if you are at Toa Payoh MRT station. She is usually there from 6am to 8.30am on weekdays.
